Riverside.fm creates local recordings for each of the participants in a podcast, meaning that the quality of each recording is not affected by their internet connection. As long the connection is good enough to communicate, the final result will be high-quality video and/or audio. The app can support up to 8 participants on a podcast.

All files created by Riverside.fm are automatically uploaded to the cloud, providing convenient backup and a way of ensuring that the local recordings of each participant are accessible. In addition to local recordings for each participant, there are also individual recordings for both video and audio, making it easier to edit around things like excessive background noise.
